I asked Asher about August’s Lion’s Gate 8/8 portal. Comments, suggested rituals, guides to getting through it, and affirmations were turning up everywhere I looked.

I’ve lived through enough of these allegedly significant dates in my long life to be somewhat sceptical. As the Gen Alpha girl who lives next door to me said the other day, “They told us the world would end in 2012, but we’re still here.”

Well, yeah. And we survived Y2K before that and so much more besides. Portentous dates come and go, and this old world just seems to go stuttering and stumbling on.

So as I say, I decided to check for Asher’s take on it all. Is this a gateway into a new aspect of The Shift or some half-baked New Age twaddle?

Asher: Not ‘or’, but ‘AND’! It can be interpreted in many ways.

Jes: Ash, you know what I’m driving at! Is there something intrinsically special about this time?

Asher: If energy is given to the event, it becomes a thing. If it’s ignored, it has no significance. It’s a different experience for each individual, as I explained in the ‘Creation’ chapter of ‘A Mind Beyond Words’. Remember how in that, we saw an event as something entirely created by the combined energy of the participants — like a sandcastle made by pressing together all the grains of damp sand? Each grain would experience it differently. There’s no objective ‘true’ or ‘not true’. All is potential and all is subjective. Treat the Lion’s Gate as an auspicious time and it will be that.

Jes: Okay. Let’s say I decide to treat it as auspicious; what’s its potential?

Asher: It can be an opening — an opportunity. Imagine walking along a familiar street and discovering one day that a mysterious doorway which had always been locked and bolted was now open and standing ajar. How would that make you feel?

Jes: Curious and excited. I’d be wondering what was through there, what lay beyond it. I’d relish the opportunity to explore.

Asher: Well, that’s an excellent way to approach it. Remember that everyone will interpret it in their own ways. Just because some are saying it is a gateway to wealth and prosperity, that doesn’t have to be your experience. If you’re looking for material wealth, fine. But maybe you are more imaginative than that. Maybe you’re looking for expansion of a different kind…

So there we have it. We can walk on down the street, treating that newly opened gateway as none of our business, and nothing will change. Alternatively, we can regard it as an opportunity to peer around the door and find the way in to an elusive something or other we’d always been hoping to discover.

I know which way I’m going.

  1. Thank you Jes and Asher❤️
Through meditation and stilling my physicality I have experienced the dissolution and birth of expansion and truth. So grateful to be physical now and also remember moments of truth beyond this lifetime.
I look forward to what we hold together!
